West Coast Double IPA - 8%
A double version of Lonely and Dreaming infused with even more Strata, Mosaic & Simcoe goodness than the original. Dank and tropical up front, with a midpalate splash of berries and citrus, all rounded out with some classic pine and grapefruit hanging around in the background. Dry but satisfying, with an approachable bitterness. Still designed for palate preservation and enjoying outdoor shenanigans with your crew, but maybe leans a little heavier on the shenanigans this time around.

West coast DIPA. Looks amazing, smells amazing, tastes amazing. No surprises here. The nose features a light stone fruit character, followed by a floral pine sap note. These combine, along with a very mild dank expression on the sip. Enjoy this one while contemplating California’s coast—the ocean, wind, waves, sun and fog.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A; Pours rich golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and leaves plenty of thick lacing.
S: Citrus, slightly dank spicy earthy herbal notes, resinous pine, underlying mix of berries, tropical, and stone fruit, slightly toasty bready malt, and a little dark honey sweetness.
T: Resinous pine, slightly dank earthy herbal notes, citrus, grapefruit, lemon, and orange, underlying fruity notes, mango, peach, apricot, papaya, melon, strawberry, passion fruit, and a hint of pineapple, slightly toasty bready malt, and a little dark honey sweetness.
M: Full body, mild to moderate carbonation, chewy.
O: Sometimes when a beer gets imperialized everything scales up in sync and you can tell it's just a bigger version of the original. Here, you can kinda tell where it came from, but this big brother version has its own personality. Richer malt, the Strata takes on a larger role, and it actually drinks like it's a bit bigger than it actually is, in a good way. It ends up hitting a lot of the classic West Coast DIPA notes, but while using more modern hops to get there. I'd love to see it and the OG Lonely & Dreaming offered at the same time so you could try them side by side.
