During our travels for Southern Hemisphere hop selection earlier this year we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to connect with our good friend and Alvarado Street alum, Brady Hannet founder of Future Brewing in New South Wales Australia. Inspired by the popular “sausage sizzle” events that bring together and support the community in his neck of the woods, we cooked up this Hazy Double IPA heavily hopped with our hand selected 2024 lots of Nelson and Riwaka. It is smooth as silk, but packs a wallop of melon, kiwi, and canned peaches floating in hop oil syrup. Earthy passion fruit and a dash of white pepper spice balance against a tantalizing sweetness that lasts into the finish. Brady, we miss you. Cheers, mate.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces beautifully.
S: Almost over ripe exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, bright juicy citrus, light grassy and floral notes, hints of Southern Hem diesel, biscuity bready malt, and caramel honey sweetness.
T: Wild mix of ripe zesty citrus, exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, gooseberry, pineapple, grilled peaches, melon, pink grapefruit, guava, lemon lime, papaya, kiwi, passion fruit, and white grape, a bit floral, resinous grassy notes, hints of Southern Hem diesel, biscuity slightly bready malt, and plenty of caramel honey sweetness.
M: On the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate, faint hop burn as it warms.
O: Super unique. Not sure how they coaxed out all those cool tropical flavors, but I'm enjoying it. Dialing back the sweetness a touch would be about the only tweak I'd make.
