Collaboration with Trillium & Haas
Here you can experience the versatility and range of flavor that Krush can deliver. With a neutral ale strain, we're seeing familiar tropical notes of mango and passion fruit, along with sweet candied citrus, grapefruit and lemon oil. This hop packs a punch and it's been a CLEAR go-to for several years now. (See what we did there?) Pale, clean, moderate bitterness, and a dry finish. That's how we like our Westies.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours faintly hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Herbal and woodsy, a bit grassy and earthy, citrus zest, underlying tropical and stone fruit, hints of diesel, biscuity malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.
T: Resinous, zesty citrus, grapefruit, lemon, and orange, a bit woodsy and herbal, slightly earthy, tropical and stone fruit, passion fruit, mango, peach, apricot, papaya, and a hint of pear, grassy notes, hints of diesel, biscuity slightly bready malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: I remember trying this the last time it was released as "My Name Is JC" so it's kinda fun to revisit it and see if it or my palate as changed after a few years.
The results are in! I think this version has a more pronounced green character; more herbal, grassy, and woodsy. The fruity notes are still there and offer a nice counter, but they aren't the first thing that jumps out. I'm sure some will like this more than I do as it is still a well made beer, but there are some things that Krush brings that I'm just not the biggest fan of.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
