We infused this absolute crusher of a West Coast IPA with incredibly punchy hops from a place so far to the east, it actually to the west. It boasts multiple additions of oily New Zealand-grown goodness in the forms of Nelson, Riwaka and Peacharine hops- the later of which is a newer variety that brings some serious nectarine and peach flavor to the table. It is easy to get lost in the depths of spicy Sauv Blanc wine, tropical fruit and stone fruit character but a light body and a smooth bitterness will keep you on course. When in doubt, go west my friends.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces very nicely.
S: Grassy, citrus zest, a touch resinous, a mix of exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
T: Bright citrus, lime, grapefruit, and a hint of tangerine, a quick hit of grassy herbal notes, exotic, tropical and stone fruit, nectarine, mango, gooseberry, passion fruit, pineapple, white grape, and guava, a bit resinous, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, mild to moderate carbonation.
O: The Peacharine brings the perfect addition of ripe fruit to build off the bright Western base and really round things out. I wish the fruity side popped a bit more on the nose (it might have when this can was a bit fresher), but that's about the only mild gripe I have with it. Overall it's a really nice modern IPA.

Sweet and piney tropical hoppy, a hint of Nelson white wine grape, a hint of stonefruit, and a piney-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a balanced, sweet stonefruit, and a piney hoppy bitter finish. It finishes a touch dry and nice and crispy...makes you come back for more. As it warms, it touch more piney-dankness comes out which is wanted and welcomed as there wasn't much of that on the nose. This is good!
