Tropical IPA with Grapefruit
We took Mai Tai, our multiple GABF medal winning IPA with 100% Mosaic hops, and invited a whole lot of tangy grapefruit goodness to the party. The lush tropical fruit vibes of Mai Tai and the unique citrus zing of grapefruit might seem like an odd pairing, but trust us, they get along famously. After just a few sips we realized what we’d done, transformed Mai Tai into a seriously refreshing tropical Paloma. A tropical beer-loma? Wait, is that even a thing? It is now. Salt rim, sugar rim, no rim- doesn’t matter. One way or another, it's going to brighten up your day.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Fresh grapefruit juice, plus more citrus zest, resinous pine, underlying tropical and stone fruit, a bit grassy, biscuity malt, and just a touch of sweetness.
T: Lively citrus, grapefruit, lemon lime, and tangerine, tropical and stone fruit, guava, apricot, passion fruit, and faint blueberry, a touch of resinous pine, grassy faintly herbal notes, biscuity malt, and a touch of light caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Cool one to try. The grapefruit is a fun touch, but the original Mai Tai is so good as is that I don't think the addition of grapefruit really elevates things. Wouldn't turn down another thought.

Hazy golden color, small head. Well, it smells like grapefruit. Tastes like a standard hazy IPA blended with about equal parts grapefruit juice. Moderate bitterness tries to balance it, but not really. A little much.
