It is a big’ol weird Hazy IPA world out there right now, but sometimes you just want to feel at home again with an easy going, well balanced, West Coast IPA. We have the perfect accommodations waiting just for you, tastefully appointed with choice lots of Citra, Simcoe, Chinook and Centennial. A dash of specialty malt and a relaxed bitterness ease you into a sumptuous collection of pome fruit, tangerine and pineapple layered over pine and grapefruit. I dig the Best Western-inspired logo. It seemed especially apt as I was staying in a hotel when I picked this up.
Pours as expected, clear and golden tan. Lightly floral aroma, with a sip that follows. Some light piney and citrusy flower notes and a mild bitterness.

Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Spicy, resinous pine, citrus zest, grassy herbal notes, underlying tropical and stone fruit, slightly bready biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
T: Resinous spicy pine, citrus, grapefruit, orange, and lemon, underlying tropical and stone fruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, and passion fruit, and hints of melon, grassy herbal notes, slightly bready biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: Just a touch on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Not breaking any new ground, but it is a solid modern Westy. Wouldn't mind just a little more carbonation to brighten it up.
