Can poured into an Alvarado Street Brewery Willi Beecher glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Zesty citrus, a touch grassy, ripe exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, soft vanilla and coconut, resinous spicy pine, biscuity bready malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.
T: Resinous spicy pine, a mix of ripe exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, pineapple, peach/nectarine candy, gooseberry, mango, guava, blueberry, white grape, and passion fruit, bright citrus, lemon lime, grapefruit, and tangerine, a bit grassy, hints of coconut and vanilla, biscuity ever so slightly bready biscuity, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Dolcita definitely makes its presence known, but it's also nicely kept in check by the other hops. There's a lot going on which can lead to it feeling like a bunch of different flavors are fighting for the spotlight at once, rather than melding into a more cohesive flavor profile, but it's still an enjoyable sipper.
Update: My original rating was based on a 2 week old can. I got a chance to try a 2.5 month old can from the original batch and I hate to say it but I think I prefer the older can by a fair margin. The grassy piney notes have mellowed into more of a secondary flavor, while the fruity side comes through a bit stronger and mixes nicely with the citrus. It also comes off a bit sweeter, which I think contributes to setting off those flavors and generally balancing things. Basically all my gripes were solved with a little time for things to settle into their place.

West coast with a slight haze.
Light aroma, low hops, a somewhere bready malt that creeps across on the finish. It’s decent but doesn’t deliver as I had hoped.
