A brilliant, amber-ruby farmhouse ale brewed with continental pilsner & malted rye from our friends at Riverbend Malt House in Asheville, fermented with our house saison culture, and finished with a copious amount of organic South African rooibos red tea leaves. Equal parts earthy, spicy, warm & bright, this saison is a perfect way to close out another winter in the Carolinas and welcome the impending spring.

Poured a copper red body with minimal head and lace ring down glass. The aroma is less yeasty or funky than expected and has a more herbal, spicy scent to it (not sure if rye is only spice added). Beer is medium bodied, smooth, an interesting taste as it mixes typical funky saison characteristics that balances with herbs and spices and finishes with a grainy, dry hopped finish.
