Brewed with over a half ton of red raspberries, this customer-favorite Imperial IPA weighs in with a double-digit abv and is late-hopped with a healthy handful of punchy, fruity Enigma hops, offering up a unique fusion of fresh berries and notes of sweet citrus, crushed red currant and light tropical fruit.

A friend of mine picked up a can from the brewery 12-17-22. No canning date; consumed 7-19-23.

Beer poured a cloudy purple with little to no head.

Not getting much with the nose other than faint raspberries.

Taste, strictly looking at this as a fruit beer, is done nicely. Large malt base combines with a healthy dose of raspberries and is hopped enough to give a bittering edge after each raspberry forward sip; 6/10 on my bitterness scale.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and fairly smooth.

Overall, the fruit approach is not my cup of tea with a TIPA but for what it is the brewing team did a nice job incorporating the raspberry adjunct. One and done for me but if fruit forward beers are your thing go for this one.

Look: It pours a deep reddish plum color with a bit of clouding and an off white pinkish hued head. Head retention is fair.

Smell: It has aromas of raspberries and tropical fruits. There are some red currant notes and a low grainy sweetness to it.

Taste: It has plenty of fruit flavors that feature tropical fruits, pineapple, and raspberries. The raspberries are stronger in the finish as the tropical fruits are strong up front. There is an alcohol presence, but it is not over bearing and hot. There is a very low wood element with very low grainy sweetness. There is also a slight tartness that goes with it.

Feel: It has a medium full body and is more fruity than bitter.

Overall, plenty of fruit flavor I found this beer to be quite enjoyable and it reminded me of drinking a fruit drink with alcohol.
