This one pours a pretty dark and deep black color, with a very small miniscule head, and no lacing.

This smells like vanilla, molasses, spice, cinnamon, heavy boozy rum, oak, and chocolate fudge. This smells like quite the barrel bomb on the nose.

This is possibly the most barrel-forward Cycle beer that I've had, but it's definitely a good thing. The rum comes across super tastily, with notes of the spirit, vanilla, oak, pine, cinnamon and other spice. There's also some dark fruit and a big chocolatey base, as I tend to expect from the DOS base.

This is pretty thick and chewy, and it's definitely a slow sipper, with a big creamy and boozy mouthfeel to it.

This nicely shows that Cycle can still make a stout that doesn't have a bunch of stuff added to it.

L: pours black, pretty thick and no head
S: runs jumps out first, followed by rich chocolate / fudge. I also get tobacco and molasses.
T: not bursting with flavors, but luckily for me the chocolate and rum are domanate throughout while cold but as it warms up tabacco dominates and isn't good.
F: thin to medium thickness, very smooth.

Look: Pitch Black with thin khaki head that recedes immediately. Has low carbonation.
Smell: Rum, coconut, pineapple, cocoa, and pecan.
Taste: Rum, coconut, pineapple, cocoa, and milk chocolate.
Mouthfeel: Medium light and creamy. Masks the alcohol very well.
Overall: A good rum barrel aged stout from Cycle.

Pours just the slightest bit thin with light leaking through the pour. Dark khaki head that leaves an unbroken ring around the edge of the glass. When it was cold it was super rummy and boozy but as it warmed it developed a gigantic vanilla nose. Vanilla fudge and marshmallows with just the slightest booze breath. The taste is divine as well. Somewhat creamy and sweet with a rummy booze back end and just little whisps of vanilla. Feel is silky with light carbonation. Overall this beer is superb. It really needs to warm up in order for it to come out. When it is cold it is a boozy rummy mess but one it comes to temp it becomes divine.

This had a year of age on it when opened at a bottle share. Wow, the flavors melded together so smoothly. Feel was incredible and the rum presence was perfect. One of the best beers I've had

Coconut, spice, heavy rum influence with a lighter than hoped for body and a long drying finish. A fun beer, a nice showcase of rum barrel aging, but the base stout could use a pep talk.

Thank & thanks again to moose3285 for dropping this into a box of stuff that he left for me as thanks for being my Cigar City proxy. Yeah. 22 oz. bottle with pixelated yellow type split with my wife.

The pour is black & dense with a pretty healthy head. The aroma is like a rum Metallica concert going off in your nose. Rum riffs for miles supported by rich, sweet malts. Simple, but it’s got a really purty nose.

RareR DOS…arggghh, hand me a scimitar. And some booty. Rum-on-rum violence kicks off the experience, with a sharp, almost smoky nit of toasted wood, & a pleasantly bitter sharpness (is them hops I taste?). Sub-genres of coconut, chocolate, dark sweet cocoa powder, & laxatives round out the taste, but it’s the rum & malts that carry this one to the end. Smooth, silky, & easy to drink, it doesn’t flaunt the ABV at all.

A bit tame on the beer side & very aggressive on the rum side, which is pretty identical to what I thought when I had it on tap at Peg’s. A good beer.

TOP NOTCH.
Had fresh on draft and a year old in a bottle. I could waste away on this.

Perfectly balanced flavors and its smoothness is to be carefully drank. You're going to have to watch out for Cycle Brewing kicking down the barrel-aging doors on you. Midas touch.

League of it's own.

Pours a dark, dark brown, almost black like motor oil with thick khaki colored head. Rum, vanilla, toasted malt, chocolate, and coconut on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with cocoa and rum.
