650 mL bottle. Black body. Smells of coffee. Coffee aroma is a little acidic. Some chocolate. Tastes of milk chocolate and coffee. Again, it's a bit acidic. Malty sweetness in the back end. Heavy and very sweet. Incredibly sweet. After a couple sips, it's overly sweet and undrinkable.

Another large thanks to my man greg who is always helping me stay up top date on cycle ticks. These guys have been on thier game in my opinion on the last few sets. this one is my first of the 18s and it really sets the stage. Big, ballsy, beefy, and the coffee is really unique. A slice of cake in a glass. Extremely well executed. One of the best coffee stouts ive had in a while. Nice rich body, little syrupy but it works.

Palate Contaminants: other beer

Color is the very familiar dark brown. Carbonation shows up late, displaying a medium brown head. Doesn't last, though.

Smell is green coffee and molasses. Slightly metallic. Toasted (nearly burnt) malt.

Main tastes are fresh coffee and clove honey. The molasses are up there, and I'll call prunes, too. The taste is far richer than I expected with the nose. In fact, it's one of the richer brews I can remember. It's plenty sweet, but not quite cloying. A bit of alcohol late. It's like a smoky, non-carbonated Madeira wine.

Heavy weight for any type of beer, like really heavy. Perfect as a dessert. Not much carbonation, but I don't really miss it. More clove honey in the aftertaste, along with a melange of all sweet-smoky flavors.

This competes with tawny port or malmsey Madeira. I'm enjoying it, but I can see how 22 ounces might overload some folks.
