Nearly clear. Straw to gold color. Small and quickly dying head which leaves no lacing.
Lemony smell without much of the farmhouse aromas.
Spritzy with a thinner body. This is relatively bland saison. It seems more like a blonde ale—heavy in the malt with a modicum of hop for bitterness.

Small pour on tap at the Tokyo taproom. Entering review from notes.
Pours clear, bright yellow, with a big dense head. Not much carbonation. Smell is spicy / funky -- lots of lemon. Clear wet grain aroma.
Taste is fairly mild. Lemon and funk, mostly, with a slow lemon zest building up.
Mouthfeel is super dry. Overall, pretty good saison.

Where is my rating from the first Boku beer from five or so years ago? Washed down the drain? Possibly, just like this one.
Don’t remember the first one but while this one might smell citrusy like a grapefruit, it tastes like p*ss... watered down big time.
I even gave it the benefit of the doubt and waited until it warmed up a bit and while it did get better, it was still empty and thin. Nothing sparked joy.
Why, oh why japanese people? Why can’t you make a decent beer? (Exception makes the rule... but this is not the one.)
Had my hopes up high in vain.
