Look: Translucent, slightly hazy straw color. Bone white head disappears as quickly as it forms. No lacing, no visible carbonation. Some sediment in the glass. It appears light and crisp.
Smell: Peach, nectarine, lemon juice, and a slight musty and phenolic/plastic/band aid funk. Sweet and sour smelling stonefruit. When you take a big whiff you really get the sweet fruit. Fantastic and complex nose, dominated by fruit with a pleasant touch of funk.
Taste: The flavor of this beer reminds me of biting into a juicy peach or nectarine. Pushes toward sweet, but never quite gets there as the tart aspects of the fruit and lemon juice acidity pull completely in the other direction. It’ll keep the enamel on your teeth. It’s not puckering. The funk does not translate to the flavor, but there is some oak. Peach skin.
Feel: Low carbonation. Dry oak. Light on the palate. Pleasant acidity and fruit tartness gently hits the sides and back of the palate.
Overall: A stellar fruited sour beer. If you like peach and nectarine you should seek out this beer. Natural fruit and never sweet. A really pleasant drinking beer.
