Team no fruit strikes one last time in 2020! I'm not really sure why East Bank goes so well in these specialty barrels, but I like it! This blend of two Cognac barrels has balanced aromas of sweet honey, candied fruit and a hint of vanilla. The body has great texture and finishes with a hint of sweetness from both the barrel and the East Bank.

Cork made a soft release sound and poured with a minimal head. Nose is East Bank deep in the middle, but that cognac barrel dominates. Flavors are intense up front, spreading to fan out on the finish. The barrel lingers all the way down. Very enjoyable.

This one pours a moderately hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like honey, vinous oak, cognac, grape, berry, stone fruit, and white wine.
Cognac is an excellent barrel choice for this one - that sweet and damp grape character from the cognac melds with the funky honey sweetness of the base East Bank. There's some vinous and funky wet funk, citrus, stone fruit, and maybe even a bit of juniper berry?
This is medium bodied, with a soft mouthfeel and carbonation. It's got a manageable sourness to it.
These days I tend to prefer Casey's non-fruited options, even though their fruited stuff is definitely still great. This is an excellent new entry to the unfruited gang.
