On tap at the brewery
L: The beer comes in a pale gold color with a minimal chill haze. It has a finger of fine, white head with good retention slowly falling to a 1mm ring around the glass with a splotchy sheet of foam filling the interior. As the beer recedes in the glass it leaves a mass of webbed and ringed lacing on the glass.
S: Light lactic acid, light Belgian spice character, a bit of citrus, very light earthy funk notes, and a light grainy malt character.
T: The palate presents a light earthy quality mixing with a bit of barnyard funk, pale grainy malt, citrus rind, and herbal notes mixing with Belgian spice. Not sour at all as the nose would suggest but it does have a medium bitterness.
F: Light to light-medium body with medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth as silk with a nice dry finish.
O: This is a very tasty saison which reminds me of Dupont Saison. It is very refreshing and I can imagine drinking a few of these on a hot day. I hope they look into giving this one a label. Recommended.
