One of Bilbos original brews, after the brewing hiatus this one is back and similar to before.
Slightly hazy deep red-brown, with no head. Nose is mild grainy corn. Taste is malty at the start, with a peppery spiciness at the finish and a hint of lingering hops. Not bad. Mouthfeel is average; so is drinkability.

On-tap at Bilbo's, goes great with my pizza.

The flavor profile is light and dominated by the yeast from what I can tell. It's sweet and with a light fruit cream flavor similar to that from the Ringwood yeast. The malt itself never really stands up, leaving the beer without much substance. It's a basic session beer, though uninspiring at that.

Growler, poured near cap high the previous evening, poured into an imperial pint.

A- 1-1/2 finger, light tan head. Deep, amber body was somewhere between red, orange, brown with light carbonation. A bit hazy. The head sustained at a 1/4 finger and left fantastic sticky rings in the glass.

S- Quite malty. Lots of roasty quality. Makes me think Irish Red, perhaps. Caramel-toffee. Slight fruity aroma at points. Almost cider-like and a bit concerning. Warmth gives suggestions of brown sugar and light baking spices.

T- As aroma suggests, lots of sweet caramel. Roasted malts. Hopping is between floral and slightly spicy. Finish dries up pretty cleanly.

M- Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Semi-dry finish.

O- Great pizza type of beer, which is good considering it's brewed at a pizza joint. I had it on own at first and it was pretty solid as well. Comparable to SA Irish Red if my memory serves me? Awesome carbonation and head development/retention for a growler filled more than 24 hours ago. Quite solid in a style that can be difficult to "wow."

With this beer I realized all their beers are identical in appearance. This pours a malty amber color with a creamy cap of foam. Nonexistent aroma. Hint of hop. Muddled sweet malty taste. Horrible.
