Poured from a 12oz can into a shaped pint glass.
Lightly hazy Arylide yellow liquid supports a half finger of delicate soapy magnolia. Uniform sticky lacing; adequate retention.
With Lemondrop, El Dorado, and Mosaic at play I was expecting a fairly complex aroma, but the nose reveals primarily sweet lemon, with a hint of melon and vague grain and cannabis notes.
Lemon-lime, bubblegum, papaya, and a touch of mint on the palate. Finishes medium-dry, slightly tart with a hint of wheat. Light bitterness throughout - more malt forward than expected, though the hops are still center stage if gently so.
Medium-light bodied, not as pillowy as expected - decent carbonation, but not especially refreshing despite the modest ABV.
Misses the mark as a "New England Style IPA," although the blend of hops is well balanced if too delicate.
