Bought two from Beer Drop. Enjoyed one as an experience.
Looks start great with the modernist, retro 50s can; and I like the big bubbly foam (it doesn't last.) Smells also start as an all-in sensation with the big bubbles bursting up my snout (that also doesn't last.) Tastes are overall refreshing with the passionfruit and citrus and, then, the spices are interesting and surprisingly subtle amidst the barrel's strong presence. Medium bubbly cleansing in my mouth. An interesting and well-constructed beer.
For my micro-review of Goldspot, their team has brewing students from nearby Regis (known as a party school in my day, the 1970s... so probably have grown a great brewing program.) Goldspot is another Denver community center competing with other Front Range brewers. This possibly explains why for a 7 year old, Goldspot has not advanced noticeably over the competition... because there is no much of it ! This is healthy for us consumers.

L:. Pours a cloudy lemon yellow with a small white head and no lacing on the glass.
S:. Passion fruit, mixes really nicely with the orange from the chai spices, some earthiness from the Chai, nutmeg follows it. Makes for a slightly mellow but still inviting aroma.
T:. Slightly tart passion fruit, mixes with a strong Chai spice, orange and herbal spice from the Chai, nutmeg is also noticeable, don't get a lot of rum from the barrel aging. This is a very nice tropical fruity spicy beer.
F:. Light beer, a slightly prickly carbonation.
O:. This would be a fantastic 80-90 degree weather beer.
