16 oz draft straight from the brewery (#1 of 4 in my flight)
*this is a smoked lime gose
A: cloudy light golden body, white bubbly head with extremely low retention
S: citrus lime with smoke up front and center, lacto sourness, a tad of biscuit malt and wheat spice kicker at the finish
T: follows the nose - tart and earthy smoked lime, light amount of salinity, lacto wheaty bacteria love weirdness, and a little bit of malt biscuit sweetness.
F: high carbonation, light body. lush feeling with a dry finish
Overall (personal opinion):
great gose almighty - i could do this one all day. next to no salty/salinity with this gose and that's okay! this brew fully plays on other great possibilities to highlight within the style and the whole experience is better for it. especially given how popular the gose style has been over the last couple years, i haven't had too many that i felt compelled to review on here because of the boredom experienced with so many players trying the same things on the field, i am so delighted to report one that stands out in the best way

hands down my favorite beer we had from these guys. im not sure if this is how their little gose always is, or of this was a special edition with smoked limes and salt, but its an incredible take on the style, and makes this stand out as one of the more unique gose types i have ever had, special edition or full time, it doesnt matter (it should be all the time, its world class and wholly original!). the smoke is there right away in the nose, but before it can be acrid or harsh, the fresh lime zestiness and clean lacto come in and clean it up and give it this crazy brightness. the flavor matches the nose there too, the smoke is strong but it doesnt dominate, while the salt is pretty robust too, drying this out and adding nice body along with the pale wheat. the balance is there in such a cool way, between the crackery dry grain, the interesting smoky citrus fruit, and the earthy salt, its sharp but drinkable at the same time, and so intriguing and good that i have a hard time ever setting the glass down. amazing depth of flavor in such a light and drinkable beer too, the smoked lime and the salt is a brilliant combination over this base. the best i had from these guys, and a gose thats extremely memorable, one of the best in the game right now as far as i am concerned...

Not all that smoky, but it's a competent gose.
