Copenhagen 30/12 2021. 75 cl bottle from Mikkeller & Friends Bottle Shop. Green label with a very yellow lawnmower and the name of the beer.
Pours opaque, hazy, pale yellow with a big, bubbly white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet fruity odor soon overpowered by a strong tart, sour scent with notable funky notes. Sweet peach. Sour lemon, citrus and tart gooseberries. I might detect a bit of freshly mown grass in there. Light touch of vinegar. A bit austere.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, tingling and lively texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by a stronger tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour - but a bit thin. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.
Fine Saison with a nice, not too heavy touch of funk.

On tap. White head. Cloudy pale straw yellow color.
This is simply too tart to be enjoyable. And definitely not to the saison style. I was excited about this, but it becomes tough to stomach after 4 or so ounces. Wish I had gotten a smaller pour. Lots of citrus and green apples. A bit acidic. All of this covers up what would be the saison notes. Can’t tell it’s dry hopped either. Maybe some earthy, floral, herbal notes mixed in, but wow this is tough to drink.
I hate to bash on a beer, but this is a pretty awful saison and normally FS makes great stuff.
