Frigid Minnesota winters are the perfect pairing for this double stout. Biggie Jumbo is brewed with high quality malts, just enough hops to balance out the flavor, and… that’s it! This robust stout is simply and straightforwardly rich, roasty, malty, and chocolatey—a hearty, warming beer for the coldest months of the year.

12oz can served in a slightly tulip-y wineglass. Date on the bottom is NOV/15/23. @bbtkd sent it to me in Stout/Barleywine BIF #2.
Pours black, nice head on the pour, settles into a shy tan skin after a few minutes. Smell is rich dark chocolate and coffee. Anise and molasses, maybe some bourbon booziness.
Taste is Old Rasputin, but soft and cuddly. Which is dangerous, because this is stronger than Old Rasputin. Chocolate with an anise and molasses overtone, coffee with a slight creamer note, maybe a hint of vanilla.
Mouthfeel is soft and smooth but quite big. Very nice beer.

12oz can. Stamp on bottom is 'STPBIGO1 BBNOV/15/23', sampled eighteen months after this suggested date.
Black colored body. Two fingers of brown colored head, which retreats to an island and ring. Leaves some film on the glass.
Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and a little coffee and vanilla.
Taste is sweet and roasty, with flavors of roasted malts, toffee, chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Quick end to the aftertaste.
More than medium mouthfeel. Smooth and creamy. Provides a little buzz but no burn; higher ABV% is evident but hidden. Good carbonation.
No adjunct, higher ABV% non-barreled aged stout. Expressive flavors from the malts.

12 ounce can, date stamp on bottom says B: NOV/15/23. Thanks once again to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a Teku, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel and a bit of dark fruitiness. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some burnt/charred malt and coffee flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's coating and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink. Thought this was a good overall straight forward imperial stout, definitely worth trying!

S: Chocolate, with a touch of hops and perhaps something briny.
T: dark chocolate, almost like chocolate cake doughnuts. Caramel creme finish.
M: heavy feel, low carbonation, and a bit slick.
O: it's a big old stout. Yum.

Pours dark brown, small head that didn't last long.
Slight metallic smell on the nose.
Taste is a bit disappointing. Was expecting some more maltiness. Texture was good, not too thin, but underwhelmed by the flavor.

This is a legit stout. The can caught my eye more than anything. Pours a good black not as deep as some. Thin tan head. Not much nose but good solid mouthfeel and taste. Good chocolate notes but not overpowering.

Pours out a nice dark brown color, almost black with a dark brown head that is dense and sticks around for a while. Very nice lacing around the glass and a beautiful aroma of roasted malts and semi sweet cocoa, caramel, burnt wood and salt peanuts.
The taste is spot on, malty and full of sweet cocoa and caramel notes with a hint of tartness as it hits the sides of your mouth.
Just a hint of alcohol in the aftertaste and a sweet sensation that just leaves you longing for another sip.
This is a full bodied stout, smooth and very creamy, leaves your mouth with a warm sensation.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid little imperial pours a coal
pitch black with a very nice head of brown foam that settles to a thick
ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some very nice lacing. Nose of dark
malts, dark cocoa, and subtle char. Flavors hit the mark with dark
bakers cocoa, subtle dark coffee, light cream, mild char, deep
roast, and subtle dark fruit notes. Mouthfeel is full, smooth,
moderately slick, coating, rich, lightly warming, light carbonation,
and a bitter malt cocoa finish.
Overall, a very nice imperial!
Cheers

Pours a deep dark brown color with a finger of tan head. The nose has a modest roasty essence. The flavor has a touch of cocoa combined with mild roasted bitterness.
With this brewery being a unionized cooperative venture, I definitely wanted to like this offering more than I did.
