In celebration of warm spring weather, we got together with our friends at Penrose Brewing Company and put our creative minds to work. We landed on a perfect seasonal thirst quencher inspired by a refreshing spritz cocktail. Utilizing the canvas of a citrus forward Belgian-style Witbier we blended the tartness of red pomelo and blood orange with the juicy fruitiness of rhubarb to create a perfect symphony of flavortown. This beer was designed for warmth, sun and patio hangs with best friends. If you're curious of where the name originates, multiple brewers at both Werk Force and Penrose are named Jake – Four Jakes in total!

Bought one from Beermiscuous.
The refreshment is obvious. But I just drank this with summer fare leftovers for lunch. But I want to buy a 4 pack and test Jakes as a dinner table wit with summer fare and other foods. As for my 4.25 Overall, most collaborations get that. It's a better way to do business. I don't know much about Werk Force and a bit more about Penrose. But, so little time and so many brewers. We in Chicagoland are spoiled my brewing riches.
8/19/23 Well I looked for a while for my 4-pack to give Jakes a real test with different cuisines. But I got tired of not finding it. (I'm guessing collabs are not stores' favorites.) So I bought another can from Beermiscuous and that probably will be all I get. My only advice right now: flower the nose and clean my palate with more bubbles. Jakes is balanced refreshment and my fair guess is it will help lots of warm climate kitchens. But that remains a guess until they collab again. (Name comes from two Jakes each working at both brewers... based on this wit, they get along together and...)
