Tasting Notes: Spruce – Dank – Fresh Citrus
Rich malty flavor from pale, Munich and aromatic malts with smooth finish from copious amounts of flaked oats. We then heavily dry hopped it with Citra and Simcoe lending huge aromatics of pine, grapefruit and fresh zested oranges. A portion of all proceeds of this beer will benefit the humanitarian charitable organization Amnesty International.

Bought from Binny's shelf for 4-pack premium beers.
I rarely buy AIPAs as my tastes moved on almost a decade ago. But this one taught me that I need to continue tasting AIPAs out there. And sample the good ones again... which includes Hate Has No Home (or at least shouldn't.)
I'm Looking at a full foam with decent lace and a relatively active yeast. Smells are mostly the hops, but some sweet from the malt bill. Tastes are balanced and without a finish that cloys to the palate which makes me shy of the style. Certainly refreshing. And soft n the mouth, probably from the flaked oats.
Being concerned about the U.S., I bought this because of its name to show that I'm simpatico. But I also was intrigued that Werk Force, in ex-urban Chicagoland, would make this statement. I'm glad they did. And I also will drink this again because it is good beer.
