A smooth and crisp, spiced ale brewed with pumpkin and pie spices. A hefty amount of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove was crafted in this ale. Designed for Fall in the South, this pumpkin beer is full of flavor and refreshingly light.

16 oz can from Florida. Brewed and canned by Big Storm Brewing.
Poured into a Tervis revealing a clear orange body. The head was well sized but quickly dissipated.
This spicy pumpkin ale seems to be contaminated. I see that BA has this listed as a saison and the funky aroma and flavor fit with this. However, the description by the brewer does not even suggest this style and it's listed elsewhere as a brown or spiced ale. In any case, this sample is so poor it gets a DNF.

A solid pumpkin brew...
A FL local beer, I found this to be solid if not overly special. Coloration was copper with a slight hint of orange, head was short lived, though. Otherwise, the rest of it was good, very good, just not special like some other pumpkin beers I have had. Mouthfeel, particularly was carbonated but crisp. The taste was light on pumpkin, not the full pumpkin flavor advertised on the can, but it was well spiced up, so there was some truth. Anyway, this was solid, not the best offering in the style, but good for sure.

Overall a great pumpkin ale. Impressed with this one. Not overpowering by any means and good for a festive or non-festive option. Sampled in FEB 2016 at the brewery.

22oz brown bomber, sample from brewery.
Mildly haze amber hue, lots of foamy lacing on the glass. Pie spice, tropical fruit, fresh grain, gourd, a taffy-like Belgian yeast nose. Crisp and moderate bodied. Spice, slight alcoholic warmth. Earthy yeast and gourd in the middle, faint phenols and drying grain in the finish.
Great job on smashing up styles, very American and Saison enough for me.

I love the complex flavors created using a saison yeast with pumpkin and spices. This is the bomb. A little bit of funk a little bit of cinnamon and nutmeg. What's not to like?
