On tap at the brewery. A nearly clear golden color with a medium white head. It was like a classic big and bitter West Coast IPA but with Mosaic in the mix, adding a new layer of flavor to the grapefruit and pine. Clean and dry on the finish. Works for me.

Some coarse foam breaking up into attractive lacing in the Piraat tulip. Golden amber brew. Aroma of pine and a whiff of honeysuckle. Medium body with a good dose of malt. Moderately acidic.
Quite an orange taste, even some orange blossom nose. Then the bitter grapefruit peel. Overall, a better than average IPA that seems to bottle well. Plenty bitter for the hop fan. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Barons Market in San Diego.

Bottling date of 08/25/16
Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and orange with a slightly copperish hue. Off-white, finger width head that peels back in fair time, revealing a thin, broken layer of suds across the surface and a modest ring around the edge. Good amount of lacing, with some broken webbing and spotting found down the sides of the glass.
Smell - Candied orange with a slightly peppery aroma. Light toastiness. Lesser grapefruit beneath.
Taste - Follows the nose a bit. Bittersweet, citrusy notes upfront, then a solid punch of toasted malt comes into the picture, with light pine notes riding beneath. Faint caramel. Slight berry sweetness toward the finish. The aftertaste rings with pithy grapefruit bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with soft, moderate carbonation. Somewhat velvety texture with a mostly dry finish.
Overall - A good, tasty IPA. It almost drinks like a Red IPA hybrid with the toasty, slightly caramel flavored malts. Big ups to my buddy from the OC who sent me these. You know who you are!

Type: 16-oz. draft
Glass: Clear shaker pint glass
From: Station Tavern in South Park (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $6.00
Purchased: June 12, 2016
Consumed: June 12, 2016
Misc.: Board read 7.5 pct. ABV
Had seen this around, but never had the urge to try it. Not the best selection at the place I was at so went with this.
Poured a golden, honey pale clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy, white head when I got it. A few solo bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent thin spiderweb lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled Simcoe, Centennial, dish soap, Cascade, Citra, floral, hints of Mosaic, lemon zest and tangerine peel. (Smell - 3.50)
Tasted spicy Simcoe, Centennial, light Mosaic, floral, earthy tropical rind, mango, tangerine, dish soap (not as bad as the nose though), pine and dry pine needles, Dry-hopped and very boozy. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, boozy, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.50)
This was decent overall. (Overall - 3.50)
