Appearance: Poured with a thumb of head that retained well enough and did produce a decent amount of lacing. The body is clear lager yellow boasting ample carbonation.
Smell: Absent, nothing offensive but...nothing really there. Not even some straw malt or skunk, literally nothing. The only engagement my nose is experiencing is a slightly cool moist sensation.
Taste: Mild straw and bread malt with a slight earthy touch. Pretty much an inoffensive slightly fairly generic lager. There's nothing overly interesting here, but there's nothing bad here.
Mouthfeel: The carbonation is well done, but it peters out around the 3/4 mark. It's mild so it's hard to talk about transistioning. Mild malt aftertaste is nice as well but it does come across as a bit too watery.
Drinkability: Light bodied and easy to drink and frankly guzzled because of it's mild nature. I wouldn't call it crispy but in certainly quenches your thirst.
Final Thoughts: An inoffensive lager meant for people who still want to drink basic lager or are in the sweltering heat. There's nothing bad about this offering, but exciting it is not. I also think it'd probably be better serviced as a light lager, but I'm not sure if that was the intent.

This is my second Northumberland and they both have been, frankly, disappointments. Don't brew with rice. It gives beer a harsh metallic edge and an off flavour. Not good at all.
Short head that immediately wanes to nothings. Clear straw yellow. Some hops on the nose, metal. Not tasty at all. Sorry, but my first drain pour in a while.
