Tropical, Citrus, Floral, Bready

Pours amber and a bit hazy with floating sediment and a massive, sticky foam head. The aroma is tropical, citrusy and floral. Smooth, medium-bodied and wet on the palate, This beer is fruity and ripe with some papaya, mango and tangerine. Mild bitterness with soft herbal notes and hints of pine tag along with bready malts, a toasty character and biscuity dryness. A bit resiny in the finish. Overall, Bell Road is a solid IPA, but the sediment chunks aren't especially appealing.

As reviewed in BeerAdvocate magazine #114 (July 2016).

4/26/16 can poured into an IPA glass.

The beer pours an orange/copper color consistent with most West Coast IPAs. Thin white head of foam and fairly clear with a small amount of sediment from can. The aroma is bready with some white wine, grapefruit peel and orange notes. I get some nice tangerine flavors from the Simcoe and Amarillo hops, along with the old school Cascade pine notes. Don't really pick up on the Citra at all. Not super bitter, the 6.7% is well masked.

Very nice standard IPA, but I'd like to see the Citra come through more.

Brite white head with a copper body. Aroma or citrus, mango and pineapple. The perfect balance of bitterness and malt. This beer is great for summer and easy to drink.

Poured from a can. Hazy golden color with frothy white head. Tons of Muscat, grapefruit and oranges in the nose. Medium full body lots of grapefruits with some biscuit notes. Soo smooth, easy drinking. Modest bitterness. So well integrated and executed. Awesome

The aroma offers up grapefruit and tangerine citrus hoppiness, a resiny hop sensation and then thin soft malts. The taste delivers full up juicy and bitter hoppiness that’s tangerine and tangelo ripe juiciness flowing into grapefruit hop bitterness. This is full rich and chewy hoppy goodness.

This is one of the best IPAs in AZ and rivals some of the top IPAs from Cali.
Very easy drinking, great color, nice subtle aroma, as well very subtle on the hops.
Goes down easy
Perfect balance, perfect abv, one of my gotos

Poured from my Arizona Wilderness growler into my Talk Beer batch #001 belcher glass. Bright orange color, head is white and full. Lace is close to perfect all the way to the bottom.

Smell is of tropical hops, orange or tangerine. Some malt or yeast/earthy but minimal which is fine with me.

Taste is fantastic!! Just like the smell, juicy, orange, mango, pine. Much what the IPA/Pale ale has evolved into. Not very much malt/sweetness or yeast/earth and much more of the fruity hops. In no way am I gonna call this a Trillium or Tree House or Other Half IPA/Pale but this is the best example of that kind IPA brewed here in Arizona.

Feel is very correct to the style. Bright carbonation, juicy body with a slightly dry finish but wet enough to be refreshing.

Overall I think this might the best IPA brewed in Arizona. I was poured a sample at a Diamondbacks Spring Traing game and made sure I went directly to the brewery after the game to get my growler filled. Great job guys!!

Beautiful white head with perfect carbonation that leaves a perfect lacing down the glass. Has a citrus, grapefruit and slight piney nose. Very well balanced bitterness. This is exactly what an IPA should be!

Poured a gorgeous clear golden body with two fingers of thick, foamy white head that slowly receded to a one finger head leaving abundant lacing down the glass. Overall impression of appearance is of an amazing IPA, true to form. Scents of grassy hops, tropical fruit imparting mango notes, sweet tangerine flesh upfront, with light spicy hop and pine resin aromas in the background with all hop aromas supported by a pleasant grainy, doughy malt aroma. Overall impression of aroma is of a well done, straight forward West Coast IPA. Nothing designed to display new designee hops, but simple and straight forward, showcasing the old standby US hop aromas. Very nice. Flavor begins moderately hoppy and with medium bitternes. Hop flavors are pine resin, grapefruit flesh and zest and vegetal hop flavors, with a light supporting tangerine flesh and a biscuity malt backbone. Middle gains in bitterness, with grapefruit flesh and rind becoming the dominant hop flavors with light hints of pine resin, mango, grassy hops and very light vegetal hops. Finish is highly bitter and hoppy with strong grapefruit rind and pine flavors and lightly spicy flavors, with a light biscuity malt backbone. Aftertaste is bitter with notes of grapefruit rind, pine resin, bitter juniper berry and light biscuity malt. Overall impression of flavor is of an excellent West Coast IPA. It showcases a very nice West Coast hop flavor profile backed by a solid, but light, malt backbone. Excellent. Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation and a slick feel. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a well done IPA. Overall this is an excellent West Coast IPA. The aroma and flavor are on point, similar to the best of the style and the mouthfeel both supports the flavors and imparts a light feel to an IPA that otherwise sits in the higher end ABV-wise of the style. Very well done, another good beer from Glendale.

Poured at Craft 64 - Light to medium golden color, good head and lacing. Aroma is juicy hops and fruit. Taste is pretty damn bitter (I believe 65 IBUs) and that really lingers on the mouth. This is hard for me to say but would honestly like this just a touch less bitter. Overall a pretty decent brew from a place I've had nothing from.

Served from tap at the brewery. Thin head, large bubbles, fades pretty rapidly. Thin hazy amber color.
Nose is evergreen, taste is very hoppy with no cloying sweetness.
Fairly light, session beer, 4 75%. Drinkable, doesn't waste the tastebuds on the first sip.
Ken is serving tonight, nice guy and knowledgable. Lives in Chandler but commutes all the way out to Glendale to learn the craft!
