Tropical, Citrus, Floral, Bready

Pours amber and a bit hazy with floating sediment and a massive, sticky foam head. The aroma is tropical, citrusy and floral. Smooth, medium-bodied and wet on the palate, This beer is fruity and ripe with some papaya, mango and tangerine. Mild bitterness with soft herbal notes and hints of pine tag along with bready malts, a toasty character and biscuity dryness. A bit resiny in the finish. Overall, Bell Road is a solid IPA, but the sediment chunks aren't especially appealing.

As reviewed in BeerAdvocate magazine #114 (July 2016).

4/26/16 can poured into an IPA glass.

The beer pours an orange/copper color consistent with most West Coast IPAs. Thin white head of foam and fairly clear with a small amount of sediment from can. The aroma is bready with some white wine, grapefruit peel and orange notes. I get some nice tangerine flavors from the Simcoe and Amarillo hops, along with the old school Cascade pine notes. Don't really pick up on the Citra at all. Not super bitter, the 6.7% is well masked.

Very nice standard IPA, but I'd like to see the Citra come through more.

Brite white head with a copper body. Aroma or citrus, mango and pineapple. The perfect balance of bitterness and malt. This beer is great for summer and easy to drink.

Poured from a can. Hazy golden color with frothy white head. Tons of Muscat, grapefruit and oranges in the nose. Medium full body lots of grapefruits with some biscuit notes. Soo smooth, easy drinking. Modest bitterness. So well integrated and executed. Awesome

The aroma offers up grapefruit and tangerine citrus hoppiness, a resiny hop sensation and then thin soft malts. The taste delivers full up juicy and bitter hoppiness that’s tangerine and tangelo ripe juiciness flowing into grapefruit hop bitterness. This is full rich and chewy hoppy goodness.

This is one of the best IPAs in AZ and rivals some of the top IPAs from Cali.
Very easy drinking, great color, nice subtle aroma, as well very subtle on the hops.
Goes down easy
Perfect balance, perfect abv, one of my gotos

Poured from my Arizona Wilderness growler into my Talk Beer batch #001 belcher glass. Bright orange color, head is white and full. Lace is close to perfect all the way to the bottom.

Smell is of tropical hops, orange or tangerine. Some malt or yeast/earthy but minimal which is fine with me.

Taste is fantastic!! Just like the smell, juicy, orange, mango, pine. Much what the IPA/Pale ale has evolved into. Not very much malt/sweetness or yeast/earth and much more of the fruity hops. In no way am I gonna call this a Trillium or Tree House or Other Half IPA/Pale but this is the best example of that kind IPA brewed here in Arizona.

Feel is very correct to the style. Bright carbonation, juicy body with a slightly dry finish but wet enough to be refreshing.

Overall I think this might the best IPA brewed in Arizona. I was poured a sample at a Diamondbacks Spring Traing game and made sure I went directly to the brewery after the game to get my growler filled. Great job guys!!

Beautiful white head with perfect carbonation that leaves a perfect lacing down the glass. Has a citrus, grapefruit and slight piney nose. Very well balanced bitterness. This is exactly what an IPA should be!
