16oz can. No dating information found. Purchased as a single at Casanova Liquor in Hudson WI.
Cola dark brown colored body, with a wider mahogany brown back lit edge. Two fingers of frothy tan head. Leaves behind strings and webs of lacing.
Aroma is a balance among roasted malts, raspberry, and peanut.
Taste is again a well maintained balance of roasted malts, raspberry, and peanut. Semi-sweet and robust, with a little bit of tartness. Aftertaste gets close to a woody vinous flavor.
Medium mouth feel. Relatively clean finish, with a measure of dryness. Higher ABV% is well hidden. Very good carbonation.
One of the better stouts I have tried that incorporates peanut or peanut butter as a component. Pleasing blend of smells and flavors. Works well using a stout base with fruit (raspberry) and field (peanut) additions.

Nice surprise hit in NBS BIF #13
Deep, dark almost black, sandy cap that rises 2+ fingers in height. Excellent retention. Layers of light lacing leave slight sedimentary like lines.
Smell is bursting with action. Sweet, chewy nuttiness, and a pronounced raspberry jam aroma.
Well, well, well. The flavors follow faithfully. But the raspberry jam battles the peanut butter and malt for the spotlight.
The mouthfeel is less than chewy (even though the flavors make you wanna chew), but not thin. Mild carbonation. No heat.
Overall, the nose really had me, if the flavors melded a tad more like the nose, I'd be blown away.

Pours a very thick looking black. Tan head. 3 finger, and very damn good retention. There's some lacing on the glass.
The nose is minimal. There's just the faintest raspberry aroma. Very faint.
Taste - This is a very flavorful beer. Lots of peanut butter up front. The raspberry hits on the back.
The body is ok, but a bit thin for a 10% beer.
not bad. There's a couple of knocks here. If those were fixed, and I know they can, this would be amazing.

Oliphant Funtalented Imperial Stout w/Raspberry and Peanut Butter.
10 % ABV. Oliphant Brewing, Somerset, WI.
Solid blackness, under a nicely roasted/toasted tan head, leaving lace.
In the nose: Fruit is first, berry-licious, followed by the massive malt. Peanut butter creeps in and takes over. Very nice.
In the mouth: Bitterness hits the palate first, then tart fruity flavors, then dark, rich malt. Quite complex. Nicely roasted, with the peanut butter mixing with the jelly. Whoa. They did it. A PB & J Imperial Stout. Little bitter, little sweet, then more sweet, and well-balanced deliciousness.

L - 2-finger dense, hazelnut head atop a cola-black body.
S - raspberry jam, peanut butter pie, roast, milk chocolate.
T - follows the nose. Equal parts peanut butter and raspberry jam. Moderate-low bitterness. Low sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium body and carb.
O - exactly as advertised. Authentic pb+j taste without any artificial flavors.
