Big fan of J Wakefield and so glad this is was on tap. What a treat to try this beer.

Spot on flavor, and pretty close appearance, of red Gatorade. Not traditional, but quite fun to drink.

 

 

 

Wow. Like Chrissy Teigen on Twitter, this one is wild. Keep my lil soldier away from this stuff, because if he could, he would lap this up! This intoxicating beverage has Raul reminiscing on his ‘tot ‘ days. You know, pin the tail on the burro, beat da hell out of piñata... this beer is exactly that, that fruit punch that you would lap up after playing said party activities! Well, it also has a lil alcohol kick that adult Raul likes, but wow!! Nostalgia in a beer, can that be beat?

A: Red. Translucent. Off white foamy head with a pinkish hue. Some lacing along the edge of the glass. Gorgeous and fun.

S: They absolutely nailed the fruit punch thing. I’d say it’s less red Gatorade (which would be a less intense and more watery sweetness) and more of a concentrated Hi C aroma. The liquid and the powder too. It’s a sweet nose with slight hint of acidity, if any at all. Again, super fun. And delicious.

T: The flavor is not as sweet as the nose. It’s lactic acidity is prominent with notes of tart lemon juice, in addition to the fruit punch notes. The wheat comes through on the finish a hint.

M: Smooth carbonation. A little fuller than the typical Berliner.

D: For a fruit punch inspired Berliner, I would say that they absolutely nailed this beer. The color and nose are something special and the flavor is also excellent. It’s quite acidic, but manageable.
