Poured from the can into a tulip glass.
Pale orange body color, with a little bit of hue towards the edges. Quite an opaque body color, with a matching bright white head that foams up with a good easy three fingers and light retention. A pretty solid looking saison.
This is a real bugging out aroma on this brew. Large amounts of dark and green herbs make for some sensing hits of cardamom, but lots of dark and roasty almost bark like smells. There's a toasty quality to the spices on this, almost like a garam masala, but with a little less variety and definition. Not much fruit character on the nose either. Interesting and unique, just a bit odd.
Spicy and fruit character is certainly the tale of the tongue going on here. A bit of a surprising wet mouthfeel for such a high abv brew though. Washing amounts of mid palate mango, but also lacking body and lingering flavor. An interesting amount of licorice to ansie like quality but comes out more grassy like in taste paticularly on the finish.
A very odd tasting saison, that also doesn't have a lot of body, or even seem to showcase the added ingredients.
