A: Faint purple color with off white, purple hued head. Smoothie opaqueness.
S: Lactic acid and plum. A hint of earthy funk.
T: Prune sweetness on the tip of the tongue followed by waves upon waves of plum flavored lactic acidity. There’s a funky component to this beer as well. Kind of cheesy, stinky sock thing going on. But not in a bad way. I actually think it balances out the acidity a bit.
M: Full bodied, thick mouthfeel.
D: This is my first JWB beer. It’s very tasty. I find that there is a high level of lactic acidity. And not only that it’s tart. There’s something about the acidity of this beer that I’ve not encountered much and it’s hard to pin point. It’s not the most sour beer I’ve had. But there’s something about the acidity that makes it very intense.
It’s not a dry beer. It’s actually a very full bodied, somewhat sweet flavored beer. Everything is in your face. I wish the lactic acidity was dialed back a bit. And I think this takes away somewhat from the overall drinkability of the beer.

Appearance: Arrives the color of a strawberry banana smoothie, with a cloudy appearance and a nice head that leave wispy lacing
Smell: Very plummy aromatics, with a tart edge
Taste: Lactic plum bursting with fruit flavor; the mid-palate and finish are moderately tart
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body, surprisingly thick; moderate carbonation
Overall: Really delicious despite the somewhat unusual mouthfeel for the style
