16oz Can from the brewery.
Look: pours a deep straw color with a frothy 1/2" white head that dissipates almost immediately. No traces of any lacing observed.
Smell: sweet tropical fruit (pineapple and papaya) and plenty coconut. I even get a bit of vanilla and lactose.
Taste: as expected, follows the aroma closely with tons of pineapple and papaya and lots of coconut. the bitterness is assertive and shows up late to try to balance the sweetness. due to the fruit juices, this beer is almost tart.
Feel: the body is on the light side but the texture is rich. the astringency is pronounced and the carbonation adequate or moderate.
Overall: this is a collab between two pretty damn good breweries, yet this one missed the mark. tries to emulate a pina colada but... its not exactly easy drinking. flavors too pungent and bitterness unbalanced. good idea but experiment fails somewhat.
