16.9oz bottle poured into a tulip
A- pours jet black in color with a one finger foamy khaki head that reduces to a ring around the glass
S- aroma opens with dark chocolate, charred oak and barrel juice. Undertones of coconut cream, almond joy bars, vanilla beans, caramel and burnt marshmallow
T- rich and malty up front with bold notes of dark chocolate, brownie batter, caramel & fudge. Mid-palate brings out the barrel, with some peppery rye, sharp oak and barrel juice. The finish gives undertones of coconut and vanilla, along with more brownie batter. Lingers of rye, oak, chocolate, coconut and vanilla
M- medium-heavy body with moderate carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues into a velvety, silky warming finish

Poured a black body with minimal head and no lace as the head quickly dies. The aroma is mostly booze and char but I'm getting a hint of coconut. The beer itself is thick, sticky, has notes of coconut and vanilla with a bunch of booze which makes the beer a slow sipper.

A collaboration with Bottle Logic. Purchased a 32oz growler on tap at HBS, St. Pete, yesterday, 5/27/20.
Poured at 57 degrees; black with ruby edges; dark brown tight bubbles quickly recede leaving no cap and thin ring; small dots of lace and heavy legs on swirl. Strong coconut aromas upon opening bottle; vanilla, bourbon; boozy exhale. Taste follows nose; bittersweet dark chocolate base; toasted coconut; oaky vanilla middle; chocolate ganache and bourbon ending. Full but not syrupy body; smooth velvety feel; warmth from 12%; medium minus carbonation. Overall, another blockbuster collaboration; well balanced layers of boil and barrel flavors - all scales seem equally weighted; the alcohol, while present, is inviting rather than a distraction; reminds me of Vanilla BCBS, with the addition of an even measure of coconut in nose/on tongue; I like this version slightly better than the V1 variety because of the excellent presentation of coconut here... Can’t stop drinking my growler...
