473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Dec 31 2025 and served barely chilled.
Pours a hazy golden-orange colour, capped with two fingers of pillowy, foamy white head that shows solid retention. Well over five minutes later, a half-inch cap of crater-pocked suds still remains, with a thick coat of lace clinging to the sides of the glass. Not particularly fragrant: I'm getting dank, floral hops and grapefruit, with muffled hints of passion fruit and pineapple.
A juicy-tasting IPA, but the flavours all kind of muddle together into one big, fruity jumble. Mango, pineapple, melon & mandarin orange, with hints of passion fruit and grapefruit not far behind. A touch more bitter on the back end, with grapefruit pith and bitter lemon peel alongside more tropical fruitiness; this all carries on into the aftertaste, which is kind of clingy. Full in body, with average carbonation levels that prickle the palate, adding some frothiness to this brew's soft, juicy mouthfeel. Easy enough to toss back, but one serving per night seems like plenty.
Final Grade: 3.75, a B+. Hazy IPAs are a dime a dozen these days, which means that a beer such as Happy Robot's best chance is to make a strong first impression. It does have some juicy qualities, which I appreciate - and the mouthfeel might actually be my favourite aspect. Unfortunately, the nose honestly isn't all that inviting, and the flavour profile isn't anything to write home about. I'd give this another shot if I found some fresh stock, but there are other hazy IPAs I'd revisit before this onne.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From the Walker Rd. LCBO in nearby Windsor. Canned July 22/25. My fourth beer from the Ottawa, Ontario brewery, and for 2025. Unquestionably endorsed by Gracie the cat...
