On tap at The York in Highland Park, CA.
Pours a murky golden-yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thick swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, spice, yeast, and watermelon aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, spice, yeast, watermelon, and watermelon juice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid watermelon aspects all around.
