Clear golden brew served in a snifter at North Park Brewing Co. in San Diego. Clean and aromatic. Rather bitter aftertaste and plenty of yeasty character. Fairly rich and apply. A very decent farmhouse style from one of my favorite newer breweries.

A: Slightly sweet, followed by some grains with a citrus zest fruitness.

A: Light golden color with a moderate white head – good retention.

T: Slightly sweet with a big zesty citrusy fruitiness. The beer is crisp and finishes dry.

M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation; slightly effervescent.

O: Solid. This beer doesn’t exhibit any tartness or smoothness in body and could be a bit more effervescent in character. However, the beer’s slightly sweet aroma and flavor is nicely offset by its zesty citrusy character. While the beer doesn’t exhibit any tartness or smoothness.

On tap at Three Weavers Brewing Company in Inglewood, CA.

Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, dried citrus peel, floral, earth, spice, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with earth, spice, yeast, and dried citrus peel flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of earth and spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is quite earth and spice forward in the flavors.

Serving type: on tap.

Added incorrectly (by me) this is a Saison. Good blend of pepper yeast character with some tangy citrus notes. Clean tasting and a nice example of the style.
