Clear golden brew with a short-lived white foam in the Duvel tulip. A hint of fragrance, faintly fruity but more like cream of wheat. Brewery says this is brewed with Pluots, the plum-apricot hybrid. Definitely tart and they have the decency to say so on the label.
There is some fruity taste beneath the sharp exterior. Some hints of malt but it's more astringent and seedy. I'd say this is a fairly austere sour. Puts the teeth on edge a little, though it's not quite vinegar. At least you can taste a ghost of the fruit and malt. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bottlecraft for eight bucks.
