This tropical beauty is The Beach in a glass. The fruit combo of pineapple, guava, and tangerine is a touch sweet while a bit tart with a hint of citrus. Pink & black peppercorns along with cardamom add a subtle, spicy kick that accentuates the fruit combo.

On tap at District Brew Yards. Brewed for the beach (not falling leaves), Cabana is nonetheless refreshing on this cool autumn day. While it Looks slightly better average American saison and it Smells the citrus fruit bowl that I've had before. Tastes are balanced between the tart Brett and the fruits. There also is pepper spicing added, so the brew relies less on hops than usual. I didn't drink this while eating food, but it probably would pass the table ale test. Balanced so the foods' flavors can show themselves.
For my micro-review of Twisted Hippo, it will require research work. Not much to review. DBY has some information to supplement Twisted's limited landing page for its website. Twisted came to DBY after having their own place, but it needed support. Before that, Twisted was called Rude Hippo. Not much looks stable. But that's OK, that is the purpose for DBY to help brewers create. And for recognizing they need help, I give Twisted pretty good Overall Hugs that they otherwise might not deserve. Good luck !! And keep trying to make it in the Belgian tradition.
