The sweet fruitiness and hint of spice from the saison mingle with the tartness of the blackberry to create a unique and wonderful blend of flavors. No expense was spared with this celebration of blackberries.

Thanks to rudzud
Huge fluffy foamy 2 finger pink head fades semi slowly, little lacing, hazy mahogany cherry color.
Nose little yeasty, mild berry fruit, jammy sweet candy fruit, jammy tangy fruit, little acidity, syrupy, maybe blackberry hard to tell, very muted.
Taste more of the same, little syrupy tangy, candy, cherry sweet, little candy jammy fruit, berry, slight muted, weird alcohol thing, bitter tannin, bitter hop. Finish flemmy sticky messy, little acidity, bitter, berry seed.
Mouth is syrupy, sticky, decent but other carb.
Overall bleh.

Shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice darker red/purple hue with a far three finger head that fades to leave great lacing.
S - Aromas of super light black berries, light saison, somewhat yeasty.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, nice berry sweetness, rather bitter and flemmy, alcohol present to. The berry is pleasant, nice tartness.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, bit flemmy.
O - Overall this was a rather underwhelming beer. The berry was nice, but, rather bitter and flemmy. Really unfortunate.

this seems to have improved over time, a better beer than it was as just the blackberry saison they put out in the spring. this seems quite a bit more cleaned up, and a lot more fruit to it. deep purple and crystal clear in color from the tap at the brewery, it doesnt hardly look like a saison at all. there isnt much head either, a visual indicator that this one is a little under carbonated, especially for the style. the aroma and flavor are great though, jammy sweet fresh blackberries with just a little bit of tartness to them that brings out some of the more interesting aspects of this quite subtle yeast strain. the blackberry is awesome and really forward, it starts and ends this one for sure, slight white wine from the yeast too. i think this fruit and yeast work together better than either the cherry or the raspberry editions, although this one is a little sweeter in the end, its flavor are more gelled than in the others. hard to get this much blackberry character into a beer, so nice work there. i think with more carbonation and a little more yeast funk to it, this would be a killer brew. im thinking white wine barrels with a brett pitch...

Raspberry color. Pink hued white head.
Tons of blackberry. Some spice notes. Very faint tartness. Green apple notes. Earthy and herbal notes.
Medium bodied. Clean. Ends with a dry bland flavor, however.
Very fruity. Easy to drink.
