Pours clear straw yellow, wispy white head, decent lacing. Aroma is fairly faint, biscuit and lemon. Flavor follows the nose, slight hoppy bite in the finish. Feel is light bodied, adequately carbonated. Overall, a nice beer.

A - Golden body, clear, and substantial white head, with a fat wall of lacing.

S - Lovely bright grassy hops, grape notes and soft earthiness.

T - A tasty note of grapes and minerality, a bit of apple and grass and limestone. A dry, bitter finish.

M - Very crisp, decent carbonation, light body, clean finish.

O - A Pilsner I enjoyed, and one I'd buy again. So a real winner for me.

16 can canned 4/18/23 into a tall Pilsner glass.
L: Pours almost clear radiant medium yellow with heavy & steady carbonation bubbles, a fluffy capped 1" soft white head with excellent retention, thick lacing, bands, light sheeting.
S: Lightly fruity, a hint of lemon. Very lightly expressive.
T: Light lemon, fruity, citrus zest, some pine resin, a hint of pastry dough.
F: Lightly crisp then smooth, medium-light body with a fast-moving moderately dry finish that is fairly dry on the tongue and is smooth.
O: Fantastic tasting, refreshing and easy drinking. It has a light lemon halo and is crisp. A high quality beer that is excellent in its style.

16oz can. Dating stamp on label is 'PKG 6.5.23'.
Clear, straw colored body. One finger of white head, which recedes to a thin cap and ring. Leaves behind partial walls of lacing.
Aroma is bread dough and a slight floral hint.
Taste is bready malts and a sharp infusion of floral/herbal hops. Ends with a snap.
Medium mouth feel, with a crisp and clean end. Excellent carbonation.
Mellow lager than gets kicked in the rear by the dry hopping.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, straw-yellow color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy sheets on the glass. It smelled of floral notes, hay, grasses and fresh bread. Sweet caramel, toffee and a mild grassy bitterness.

Far from a traditional pils, but a quite enjoyable hybrid. Wish the taste followed the nose a bit better, but both are nice. Would definitely grab this again.

ive long liked these guys and was stoked for them to see that this won a gabf gold medal, bravo, but the beer just isnt at that level for me, its so light, like its barely there in a lot of ways, and to me as well made as it so obviously is, its missing that certain something i would expect of a champion, in this case any semblance of body or boldness of flavor, but its objectively solid, of course, just kind of forgettable to me, modern but like, so soft too. i guess when considered as a hoppy lager and not as a pils it makes more sense, allows for the herbal and sweet aspects this has, the new zealand hops and the longer finish are what define it for me, but also its incredible lightness. i get light almost corn sweetness to the malt which makes this less crisp than many, but its so subtle that it doesnt slow this down even a little. melon and kiwi fruit notes from the hops, lemongrass too, very fresh and very pleasant, but again minimal, more of this would be cool, as would some bitterness later, its not snappy even though its hoppy, the proportions are odd, and while this is about as drinkable as they come, its also leaving me wanting just a bit more flavor from the hops especially. great carbonation and easy mouthfeel, thats groovy, and very clean in a lot of ways too, fruity without being overdone on the hops, simple on the malt side while still being slightly european, and good attention to detail on the water chemistry side, lots to like about this, but a gold medal seems perhaps a step too far. nice to see the recognition though, well earned, quality beer, unique hop profile, fresh, doesnt quite drink like a german pils and for more reasons than just the new zealand hops. a high summer crusher for sure.

Appearance: Pours a completely clear, medium golden color with a soft, bright white head. SRM of 5-6. (4.00)

Aroma: Faint aromas of lemon citrus. Some yeast and pale malts. (4.00)

Flavor: Mild flavors of lemon citrus hops upfront. Some bitter grassy yeast in the middle. Pale malts with a slightly bitter finish. The grassy, bitter yeast predominates. (4.00)

Feel: Medium-bodied. Good carbonation. A rather full-bodied finish of yeast. (4.25)

Compared to Surly Hell 6/3/22: Pours darker, milder head. Milder aromas. More grassy yeast. Less lemonflower and wheat. More bitter. Winner: Surly
7/2023: Pours similar. More earthy lemonbread. Less grains, bread. Similar flavors, but more earthy and hoppy.

to Summit Twin Pils 5/2023: Pours similar. Milder head. Stronger aromas. More lemon citrus and floral zest. Less pale and bread malts. Hoppier.

to Fair State Pils 5/2023: More lemon citrus and zest. Less bitter flower. Hopper and cleaner.

to Modist Forest of Bones 7/2023: Pours similar, milder aromas. More earthy, grassy, oaky. Less lemon zest and bitter flower. Smoother and leans maltier.

to Arbeiter Figurati 8/25: Pours darker, milder aromas and flavors. Less bitter flower. More smooth pale malts.

Overall: Wasn't sure what to expect from this beer. Seems like a good idea for a brew, but some of the ratings on here were a bit negative. Nevertheless I gave it a go. The dry-hopping with Wakatu New Zealand hops show strong citrus and flower. Bitter with almost some cigarette smoke. Clean, bitter, and dry. Very good.

Second Review 5/2023: Stronger aromas of lemon citrus and zest. Floral and citrus zest. Hoppier. Far improved this year
Third Review 7/2023: Stronger earthy, grassy, oaky notes. Smooth.

2025: Outstanding (Rating: 4.20)

Can. White head. Lace. Clear straw yellow.

A decent pils, but nothing I’d want to buy again. Just better options out there. Grassy and biscuity. Earthy. Soft. Easy drinking.

16oz can

Some small black flecks in the beer, like it wasn't filtered right (?). Smells like at least two kinds of grass. Dry, grassy, slick and sweet and powdery, sorta tastes like how weed wacker fuel smells

EDIT: Drank this again on a whim and loved it... Maybe I had a bad batch

From a 16oz can:

Appearance: Clear yellow, good head.

Smell: Mineral-rocks, grassy, kind of "dry".

Taste: Cracker malt, then grassy and floral notes. Some honey sweetness but stays crisp and clean feeling.

Overall: This double dry-hopped pilsner from a local Minneapolis brewery is nice and tasty. Nice combination of honey sweetness and grassy hops. Not over-the-top hoppy or aromatic from the double dry hopping, which was a little surprising.
