Baerweiser looks brilliant, just as the classic it's modeled after. Straw golden, polished, inviting, clean. Bubbles swarm from within to support a picture perfect rocky and foamy bone white head. Every fraction of descent leaves a sheet of lacing behind. (4.5)
It smells like the beach. It smells like a campfire. It smells like a block party. It smells like comfort, familiarity, friends, and fun. Wet sand, damp wood, crushed grains, a drizzle of honey, dried grass, even drier corn husks. It smells like summer. (4.25)
The flavor is exactly what you would expect. Dried and crushed grains, cooked rice, a sprinkle of wildflowers, and a dollop of classic honey. That signature "beechwood" acts as the tortilla to the burrito, the baguette to the sandwich, the⦠you get the picture. Light, but noticed throughout each sip. (4.0)
Crisp, bubbly, sharp, smooth, easy drinking. A touch of sweet complimented by a bitter dry finish that doesn't require much searching. A slightly dirty residue demands a little lip smacking between sips. (4.0)
An ode to The King of Beers. An interesting choice for a 5th Anniversary avenue, but perfect for the upcoming warm summer days. Slightly less "cold" or crisp feeling than the American classic, but a damn fine enjoyable beer this is. Baerlic continues to knock them out of the park. (4.0)
Cheers
