A great intro into the world of sour beers, Techno Viking is very light and refreshing. The German Pilsner malt backbone and mild tartness make this a very approachable and drinkable beer.

Easy drinking sour, not overly sour, and very refreshing on a hot day. Could easily drink a few of these back to back. Pours a pale yellow color with little head and medium carbonation. Tastes of apple, lemon, and pear, its tart but not overly tart. May be a good introduction into the world of sours for some.

Canned November 17th 2020.
Pours a hazy pale gold, decent head of foam at first, leaves the scene quickly.
Smells tart, lemon, earthy malt, smells like a Berliner Weisse.
Taste is lemon on the tart side,(imagine that) earthy malt, salt is minimal, fruity beyond lemon.
Light bodied, easy drinker. I like!

Pours pale, almost straw yellow. Subdued head. Decent lacing. Nice big bubbles cling to the side and bottom of the glass.
Aromas of white grape, granny smith apple, pear, white wine, and lemon.
More laid-back on the acid than many of the style. Vinous grape, winter apple, honeydew, and white pepper for flavors.
Excellent feel. Well carbonated, crisp, and drinkable.
One of the sweeter versions of the style I've had, it still works pretty darn well.

pour pale yellow with minimal head. I like my berliners to have a merengue like texture on the head.
Small is slight funk and some lemony citrus.
Flavor follows the nose.
Finish is fairly clean. Not too abrasive.
Easy beer to drink, but nothing earth shattering. I like more tart and head texture. This is almost too simple.
Had on tap Rumpus Room Milwaukee.

Drekker Techno Viking Berliner Weisse Sour, 4.5% ABV. Pours clear pale yellow, with a one-finger white head that left no lacing. Nose is lemon and apple. Taste is lemon, slight apple, moderately tart. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Thanks, Sam!
Got this on Sam and Laura’s visit out here. Had two Drekker beers before and like them both, giving a Brain Freeze variant a 4.11 and Ectogasm IPA a 4.08 back in July 2018 (also thanks to Sam and Laura). Description for this one was, “A great intro into the world of sour beers, Techno Viking is very light and refreshing. The German Pilsner malt backbone and mild tartness make this a very approachable and drinkable beer.”
Poured a golden clear color with two fingers of off-white fizzy head. Lots of fast moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Poor, watery lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.25)
Smelled pear, green apple, passion fruit, white grape, citrus zest, lemon tart and melon. A little more lemon, citrus and some grassy notes from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste was not quite as good as the nose, but sill solid. Got grapes, pear, apple, passion fruit, melon, lemon, citrus zest and grass. (Taste - 4.00)
Light body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Tart finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Liked this beer a lot. Outstanding for the style. (Overall - 4.00)
