Pours black of course. Small amount of head that recedes quickly. Leans to the black licorice and dark fruit rather than chocolate and coffee. Fairly dry for the style. Moderate bodied.

Was this brewed by Charlie from "Always Sunny in Philadelphia"? I make friends and know karate bitch! I am the Dayman!
I am not a fan of Drekker but picked this up just because of the name and reference.
Premium price for even a BA stout @ $15 for 500ml. They should sell on Tavour at that price. Unfortunately it is not a very good BA stout. Weak barrel character and thin body. Definitely nothing to gush about in this beer. Another disappointing beer from Drekker.

Drekker The Nightman Cometh BBA RIS, 9.5% ABV. Pours thick and black, with a 1.5 finger medium-brown head that left light lacing. Nose is sweet chocolate and slight bourbon. Taste is light chocolate, some dark fruit, licorice, and roast malt, very slightly sweet, moderately bitter, bourbon but no bourbon heat. Excellent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

Fairly thick pouring. Pours pitch black. 3 finger tan head. The head retention is damn good. Some nice lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The nose is not that strong to be honest. What I am getting is a nice boozy barrel aroma. Hints of chocolate are also on the nose.
Taste - There's a nice flavor from the barrel up front. On the backside I get some chocolate malts, and some caramel.
The body seems way too light for this style of beer to me. It's not watery, just too light feeling. Minimal alcohol burn.
Not bad, but I've had better BA RIS beers.

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a deep, dark brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was an inch and a half of foamy, tan-colored, very long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of booze, chocolate, dark fruit, roasted malt, and toffee.
T: Tasted of a decent amount of dark fruit (raisins, in particular), a hint of toffee (quite sweet), a good amount of roasted malt (present throughout), some bourbon (and its accompanying barrel), and a good amount of dark chocolate (very nice). This is a much more subtle flavor than expected, but still complex and likable. Tasty stuff.
F: A good amount of carbonation with a smooth, slightly dry finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A solidly done, easy to drink RIS. Worth a try.

Poured from 22oz bottle into glass. No bottling date noted, but the label has this as '2016 BARREL AGED'. Waxed cap.
Dark brown colored body, with medium brown back lit highlights. Straight in pour brought forth a one finger plus light tan head which has lots of froth and bubbles. The head retreats back to a full cap. Leaves behind a major surface coverage of lacing webs.
Aroma of dark roasted malts, prunes, molasses, and chocolate.
Taste of peaty, dark roasted malts, prunes and raisins, with a little molasses and chocolate. Bitterness is low.
Thinner mouth feel, and smooth. Okay carbonation.
With the dark malts, dark fruits, and the other flavor components, this is a very tasty Russian Imperial Stout, but the thinness of the body detracts from the overall experience. The smells and flavors kind of arrive and then leave rather quickly. The whiskey barrel notes are solid and add to the taste, but this beer should be thicker and coat the mouth for a better drinking experience.

L: deep dark brown and is brilliant around the edges blanketed by a lacy 2" light tan cap with good retention
S: pleasant fresh roast coffee bean smell with rich chocolate in the background
T: A dash of coffee seasons rich dark chocolate flavors. As it rolls over the tongue, spice, cinnamon, dark dried fruit, and alcohol flavors come forward.
F: creamy texture and a medium full body
O: everything you want in an Imperial Stout - rich full bodied, full flavored, nicely balanced and potent

pours black. tan head. two fingers that fade fast. little soapy lacing.
like with a lot of beers, i'm totally whelmed here. roasted cacao nibs. maybe molasses. not really getting much in the way of dark fruit except maybe in the feel.
mouth is thick. decent carbonation. this one sticks with you. alcohol is warming, which helps some of the flavor at the end, but there's a hint of bitterness to it, too.
it's good. not something that would fall into rotation, but pleasant enough for a snowy night in the upper midwest.

In a 22oz bottle and aged for 1 year,so says the label. Pours a thinner dark mahogany color with just a thin mocha head . Smell has vanilla, roasted malts, chocolate ,dark fruits ,wood and slight whiskey. Taste follows nose right on it has all the right stuff for a BA Stout. Mouth feel was a bit thin vanilla dark fruit and chocolate rule with some molasses and toffee , a slight and weaker than i like Barrel on the finish. For the price $14/bomber not bad its on par with CW BA Stout 4-pks but you are getting 26 oz less at the PP(dont like bombers) compared to CW. I liked this BA Stout just thought the Barrel was a little weak.
