L: hazy purple under a 1" pink tinted foam cap with fair to poor retention

S: Blueberry dominates the aroma with support from citrus, tropical fruit, mild tartness, pie crust and a hint of basil

T: The flavors start with blueberry and a lemonade level of tartness. Mildly sweet pie crust flavors temper the tartness and then the beer hits a drying, slightly astringent finish with a hint of tannin

F: The body is medium light and the carbonation is medium high

O: interesting, refreshing and very drinkable

Pours a hazed pink blueberry color with a thin purple head Smell is like the label says its blueberry and fruit with basil and spice. Taste follows nice just mildy tart/sour. A slight tart mouthfeel with a dry finish. Split several of these between some ipa's and like the slight tart nature of this one.

Pours a hazy/cloudy purple colour. Smells like basil, spiciness, and not much else. Tastes like basil, tart, blueberries, slightly lie sweettarts, and a dry earthiness at the end. Could use more carbonations, but very fun flavours.

Very murky fushia/pink in appearance, nose is slightly tart and pretty heavey on the basil, wow! Id say this is a low moderate to moderate sour, not mouth puckering but substantial, the basil is notiacble in flavor as well, imparts a herbal dry characteristic, i dont think id like the beer as much without it, still i probablly wounld buy this again, i like sour ale but only every now and then. The blueberry characteristic is not what id guess but wouldnt guess any other fruit either.

Poured from a 16 oz. can into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a deep brownish amber with a hint of purple. Moderate amount of bubbles and a solid finger of off white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.

Smell: A sour and fruity aroma with a scent of blueberries and basil. Fruity scent of blueberries. Some hints of funk and basil. Malt hints of biscuit, caramel, and grains with yeast. A pretty solid aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a fruity and sour taste with notes of blueberries and basil. Good taste of blueberries. Moderate sourness and funk. Some notes of basil along with malt notes of caramel, biscuit, and grains with some yeast. A pretty nice taste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp and pretty smooth.

Overall: A pretty solid twist on a fruited Sour. Nice notes of blueberry with balanced sourness.

16 oz. can purchased at Happy Harry's in Fargo on 8/19/17. Can't be too old since beer was introduced in July. Poured into ale glass.

L: 3F head with poor retention. Leaves a little bit of soapy lacing and a thin ring. Beer is a mostly clear deep amber with some purple character.

S: Blueberries, sour yeast, a little bit of basil, and malt. All a bit muted.

F: Basil and sour yeast much more prominent up front. Tart blueberries come in mid-palate. Not much malt to mitigate sourness. Nearly runs away.

F: Light bodied, light to medium carbonation. Construction not bad but a bit watery, while balance definitely not there.

O: Idea isn't a bad one, but needs work.
