Hyper Scream
Drekker Brewing Company IPA-Imperial / Double New...
A multitude of malted grains and adjuncts from the soil. Layered hops are dry and tangy. Crisp and dry tones then juicy feelZ. Sour and tangy Nordic yeast thing happens, as the oats and spelt make it smooth and heady. A unique combo of flavors and feels.

I have really been enjoying a four pack of this beer over the last week. It was canned at the end of March and still comes off fresh.
Poured from a can into a tulip glass. Bright hazy pale yellow color with excellent head and curtain lacing. Pleasant citrus and pineapple smell and taste. Right amount of sweetness and bitterness. A somewhat herbal background. Yeah, I like this beer and would buy it again.

Canned on:
A - Opaque medium golden tan color with a frothy layer of white foam resting on top.
S - Pineapple, passion fruit, peach, with a slight amount of citrus rind spiciness.
T - Pineapple, light spicy pineapple rind, passion fruit, and ends balanced with a slight bit of sweetness and a lingering citrus peppery spice.
M - Thick, pillowy soft, and leaves the tip of the tongue dry while the rest of the mouth waters.
O - A solid middle of the road D-IPA.

16 fl oz pull-tab can:
"Nordic Double IPA." "Malt: 2 row, oats, carafoam, spelt." "Hops: Magnum, CTZ, Citra, Vic Secret." "Yeast: Scandinavian KVeik Yeast."
Hop profile is mediocre. Flavours are murky and indistinct. Spelt gives it a raw grain roughness. Unbalanced.
Vague citrus. Vague tropical fruit. Vague floral hop flavour. No clean bright citrus from Citra. Generic Magnum bitterness is present, but the presence of spelt and oats render it anything but assertive.
A pricey yet mediocre stab at an IIPA.

The Drekkers keep rolling in. I bought most of them that Wally had for sale. This one is just a little different.
It pours very cloudy and light yellow. I invert these cans to get it all mixed together. The aroma is clean and not too skunky - just a bit of ass in there. The taste is right in there with a juicy finish.
Recommended. It's a well made, yummy hazy IPA, but other great hazy IPA's don't cost over $5/can. Poor value.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy straw color mild with a tight, thin, creamy head. Citrusy, bready aroma, lemon, grapefruit. Taste is dry, bitterness biting your tongue, lemon zest, grapefruit peel, tongue coating, gum drying. Your whole mouth is left languishing in the dry bitterness. Nice.
