Gonna try a sour from Drekker. Got this from the newest drop a week ago.

Really cool lit-up, neon-like hazy purple-berry colored body with a bubble gum pink head. Settles in at about 1 finger leaving abundant lace. Really awesome appearance, I dig.

Aroma is straight vinegar. Burnt rubber. Wet hiking boots.

Tastes like a NASCAR peel-out. Tons of burnt rubber, I mean tons. Following with vinegar, slight burnt pancake, some semi-sweet berry syrup, more tire, acetone, more vinegar, pickle juice, a pinch of brown sugar, drunken boysenberry, lemon wedge, tire rubber, and urine. Very, very flawed. I can get past the vinegar a little bit, but I can't drink tire rubber.

Feel is crispy and smooth, with a clinging feel, very thick, very satisfying.

Overall, undrinkable, I did not finish it. I gave some to my wife and she went to the sink to spit it back out. Very flawed beer, overrated brewery. At $20/4 pack, they should be ashamed! You might enjoy this if you are not familiar with good style examples.

Drekker Blueberry Pancakes Slang Du Jour Sour a la Mode, 5% ABV. Pours opaque purple, with a big purple head, make of that what you will. Nose is blueberry pancakes. Taste is tart blueberry and pancake batter. Excellent mouthfeel, overall outstanding.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Growlers to Go - Short Pump, poured into a pint glass. Had a purplish color and a thick, viscous consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, off white, fairly long-lasting head. Pretty good lacing.

S: An interesting aroma of blueberries, maple syrup, vanilla, lactose, and malt.

T: Tasted of a hint of cinnamon (a subtle presence), a good shot of maple syrup, light malt (mostly in the finish; very fleeting), a bit of lactose, some of the advertised blueberries, and a tinge of vanilla as well. Yep, it really does taste like blueberry pancakes. It's sweet, warm, and quite tasty.

F: A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This beer probably won't appeal to everyone, but if you like pancakes, give it as shot.

Pours a deep hazy mauve with a purple tinged head that recedes to a thin foamy skein. Very attractive.

Smells deliciously of unripe dark berries with a faint vanilla undertone that’s reminiscent of fresh blackberry tarts.

Taste. Wow. This has layers of flavor. Sipping it now reveals an astringent dual attack of zippy carbonation and tart dark berries right up front balanced by a middle palate distinct blueberry-maple syrup sweetness rolling across the tongue. Fades into a lingering tart berry finish. A hefty body carries this flavorful beast well with a distinct soft on the palate and filling presence.

Blueberry Pancakes? Yes! That’s all summed up! But it’s so subtle that I’m just impressed. Brown sugar too, says the label. Yeah that’s probably in there.

Delicious. Tart. Sweet. Balanced. Flavors. Luscious body.

Well done.
