Oats, flaked barley, and spelt lay down a foundation of thiol potential then we mash hopped with Hallertau Blanc and Belma to pack those thiols to the max and let the Cosmic Punch yeast go to work. Finally we dry hopped it with more Hallertau Blanc, Belma, and our hand-selected Citra. Benevolent Intentions is full of kiwi, peach, and bubble gum flavors with a crazy juicy sweetness that finishes crisp, clean and is scientifically delicious.

Drekker Benevolent Intentions DNEIPA, 8.3% ABV. Pours hazy medium-orange with a 3-finger white head that left great lacing. Nose is citrus, cloves, and banana (no, not a hefe). Taste follows, slightly sweet, moderately bitter, and "juicy". Excellent mouthfeel with decent carbonation. Overall excellent.

Canned 8/1/23 (1 month ago)

Appearance: Pours a nearly completely hazy (10% clarity) medium to light pale golden-yellow color.

Aroma: Strong aromas of vinous white wine, white grapes, berry medleys, ripe pineapple, lightly floral with some grapefruit and bubblegum underneath. (4.00)

Flavor: Strong flavors of white wine, white grapes, berry medleys, some kiwi. Bubblegum, hints of grapefruit, and tropical fruit underneath to provide a bit of sweetness. Overall, dryer finish than expected. (4.25)

Feel: Medium to heavier bodied, strong carbonation. Very smooth finish and hides the alcohol well. (4.25)

Compared to Coffin Flop 9/2023: Better. More dynamic flavors. Less smooth.

Compared to The Veil Dirt Dirt Nap Nap 9/2023: Pours lighter, similar head. Stronger aromas. More grapefruit citrus, tropical kiwi, berries, and bubblegum. Less sweet tangerine, ripe pineapple, pine. Dryer and cleaner. Winner: Drekker.

Overall: Nice showcase of Hallertau Blanc, Belma. White grapes, berry medleys, vinous notes. Provides some grapefruit and bubblegum notes too. Great hop flavors, yet extremely drinakble and dryer than I'd expect for 8.3%. Above average for Drekker. (Rating: 4.18)

Aroma is citrus/orange/lemon and a hint of soap. The flavor is fruit/lemon, malts, orange and a tropical fruit/spicy hop/slightly sugar sweet finish.

Excellent hop and malt profile. Hops: Hallertau Blanc, Citra and Belma. Stone fruit, citrus. Smooth sticky MF. The aroma and taste are equally flavorful. Worth checking out. It’s the first beer I’ve tasted from the brewery.

Canned 12/20/21; drank 1/9/21 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange/yellow appearance.

A violent pour yielded a huge, noisy off-white head; thick, frothy lace.

Bubblegum, cantaloupe & strawberry notes in the nose; VERY bold.

Medium mouthfeel.

Peach, bubblegum, strawberry & dry wheat flavors; this is big, bold and over the top.

Traditional IPA fans may scoff, but I found it enjoyable. I'd have another!!
