Morning Ritual was brewed with all of the darkest dark malts and a chef’s kiss of lactose and then we conditioned it on a huge pile of freshly roasted & delicious coffee beans from our pals at Thunder Coffee. It’s super smooth, rich & tasty and as black as our souls.

Good Milk Stout. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a beer mug, this beer features a dense black body and a small bubbly light tan head with some lacing. Aroma and taste include rich, bready malt, coffee, a touch of chocolate and a moderate amount of lactose. This beer is not as lactose forward as some Sweet/Milk Stouts. It is not overly sweet. Mouthfeel is rich and malty. It is not as lactose smooth as some milk stouts but still goes down very easy. Enjoyable!!!

Gift can from BIL poured into pint glass at home. Small dark head dissipates quickly. Medium coffee aroma, strong coffee flavor. Enjoyable!

Can from the Packie enjoyed at home.
Dark brown bordering on black with a frothy tan head that persists.
Rich vanilla and coffee with a hint of chocolate and a sweet creamy mouthfeel. Pretty nice brew.

Poured from a 16oz can into a Veil Willi Becher pint glass. Pours a dark brown but gathers in the glass a shiny black with a beautiful mocha brown foam head that settles into a small cap of similar color. Dark, chocolate malts on the nose with a hint of freshly brewed coffee. Taste is a little more chocolate and roast than coffee but it’s still delicious. Medium-full mouthfeel. A little beefed up from the lactose addition. Really easy drinking. Lots of good coffee notes.

16oz can served in a curvy Monhegan pint glass. "OR ANYTIME 02:25PMFL" is stamped on the bottom, if it reveals the canned on date, I don't know how. Bought it at Drekker last weekend, brought it home in a suitcase.
Pours black, big fluffy head that settles into a thick lumpy ring and some big floaties on the surface. Smell is mostly coffee, some roasted grains, some sweetness.
Taste moves toward milk chocolate and coffee, creamy sweetness and coffee bitterness. Maybe a little hint of black licorice. Something a little bit nutty.
Mouthfeel is medium, smooth, clean. Overall, very nice stout, on the sweet side but not oppressive.

16oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sudsy lacing on the glass. It smelled of roasted coffee, toffee and chocolate. Nice roasted coffee taste with toasted caramel and a mild bitterness.

From a 16oz can, canned on 02/25/24. We just got this in from the distributer a couple weeks back.
This is a pitch black pouring beer. The head that forms is a 2 finger brown head. Good head retention, and a bit of lacing on the glass.
The aroma has a good hit of lactose on it. I am also getting a faint hint of roasted coffee.
Taste - This beer has a good mix of lactose and coffee up front. The back features some roasted dark chocolate notes, with a bit of bitterness to balance out the sweetness of the lactose.
Smooth and creamy body. The feeling from the bit of bitterness does linger.
Not a bad Morning Ritual, and I'm glad to try it in the afternoon.

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 2-5-24 into a tulip glass at 50 degrees.
Look- Black, opaque, medium brown frothy head, average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Roasted oats, coffee, between weak and medium strength of scent.
Taste- Roasted oats, coffee, cocoa, mildly sweet, medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Between thin and medium body, average carbonation, silky, moderately bitter, mildly sweet, mildly creamy, very mildly mouth warming.
Overall- Black and opaque with average head retention and lacing. Nose consisted of roasted oats and coffee, but the overall strength of aromatics was on the weaker side and the malt overpowered the coffee. The flavor was a pleasant mix of roasted oats, coffee and cocoa that improved as the beer continued to warm in my glass. Nice silky feel with body on the thinner end of the spectrum. Overall this beer provided a nice drinking experience, but it would have benefited from more vibrant aromatics.

Poured into a Guinness pint glass.
Pours nearly black very dark brown. A very dark tan mottled head. Modest retention. Excellent lacing.
Solid roasted malt aromas with prominent coffee notes. A bit of cream/vanilla and caramel.
Diacetyl sweetness on the tip of the tongue followed by roasted malts, coffee, a bit of cake-batter chocolate. More toffee in midstream. A little astringency at the finish, but not as much as hoped. It ends up being skewed a little sweet--almost milk-stout in that respect.
Full bodied, but sticky or chewy. A little chalky, but that feel coupled with the carbonation offsets the sweetness well.
Solid across the board. Smells great. A little sweet, but drinks well.

16 ounce can, canned 12/05/22, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with around an inch and a half tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a lot of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like coffee, roasted malt, cream and some chocolate. For the most part I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also some dark bread and caramel flavors noticeable too. I think the coffee stands out here. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's creamy and a bit coating with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall sweeter tasting coffee stout. Certainly worth picking up if you come across some!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This excellent brew pours a coal black with
a nice head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and
sports some nice light lacing. Nose of dark coffee, cream, dark roasted
malts, and dark chocolate. Flavors knock it out of the park with dark coffee,
subtle cream, vanilla, subtle char, brulee, and dark chocolate. Mouth feel
is full, smooth, rich, coating, medium light carbonation, and a lightly sweet
bitter malt finish.
Overall---a solid brew to say the least!
Cheers
