Our lovable hefty boi Chonk was up and attem' early this morning and made himself a lil' Berry Parfait! This new Chonk Sundae Sour is loaded up with blueberry, strawberry, cherry and of course, biiiig ol' scoops of vanilla soft serve for a fruity way to start the day.

Drekker knows how to make these for sure...out of a 16oz can, thick, dark purple appearance from the pour...opaque, with a ring of red-pink head. This is all 'smoothie'...lots of berry character, creamy and sweet, with a nice amount of tart cherry. Blueberry, strawberry, and epic amounts of vanilla wade in and out...this is marvelous.

16oz can split between a pair of half-pint shakers. Canned on 10/15/24. Bought it a couple weeks ago at The Beer Junction.
Pours a purple slurry with a tiny bit of wispy head that quickly fades into a barely detectable swirl. Smell is berries and cream, tons of vanilla.
Taste is tart, juicy, sweet, and again tons of vanilla. Lots of berry.
Mouthfeel is thick, on the chewy size, with just a bit of prickly carbonation. Overall...it's very tasty and enjoyable, and 100% not what I would reach for if I wanted a beer. If you told me it was a melted berry shake, the main giveaways would be (1) slightly thinner and (2) slight carbonation.
But, this is exactly what I expect from the style. Despite being generally unimpressed with what I see as a gimmick, this is a well made and enjoyable example of the style.

Drekker Chonk Berry Parfait Sundae Sour, 6.5% ABV. Pours opaque maroon, with a slight pink head that left puree residue. Aroma is blueberry, strawberry, cherry and vanilla. Taste follows, plus lactose, moderately sweet, slightly tart. Decent thick and creamy mouthfeel, overall outstanding. Great combination of fruit.
